The jet pipe is key to any turbine powered aircraft, not only in its ability to deliver the resulting turbine thrust but also to endure harsh temperature variations and the odd fireball!

Recent discussions on the jet forums showed that failure of these items is all too common an issue. The replacement pipes on offer are a little different from the 'standard' ones found supplied with most jet kits, they are LASER welded.

The jet pipes we offer are manufactured from aerospace grade stainless steel, formed round a special custom built jig. Once formed 'security' spot welds hold the pipe in the exact position while the main thrust pipe is laser welded in one continuous seam along its entire length. The resulting pipe is incredibly strong and capable of enduring very harsh working environments.

Once the inner pipe is made the outer 'cooling' pipe is added, this can be specified in either stainless steel or if weight is critical, aluminium. This outer pipe is assembled in the traditional way as it does not endure severe thermal or pressure conditions.

If you are concerned that your current pipe may not be trustworthy, then this is the alternative.

Each pipe is custom made to suit your requirements and often costs less than 'off the shelf' alternatives of lesser quality.

Technical information:

The inner pipe: Stainless Steel: EN-1.4878; DIN-X12 CrNiTi 18-9; AISI-321
Thickness is 0.15mm
Outer pipe if aluminium is 0.2mm - 0.1mm if stainless steel
The spacers are spot welded and the outer pipe is pop riveted if aluminium or spot welded if stainless steel

Requesting a Quotation

If you require a quotation please send me an email containing the basic dimensional data using either of the two diagrams below. Please include a contact number so I can discuss any items which require further information.

Each pipe is made to order, so it is important to make sure all the dimensions are correct prior to manufacture, pipes made to an agreed specification cannot be altered once made.
